According to police reports, two drivers in red and white Dodge Chargers were allegedly racing each other on Beltline Road when one of the vehicles collided with the Rosales family’s car as they were attempting to turn onto a side street.
The impact was so severe that the family’s car flipped over and caught fire, tragically killing Jessie, Lorena, Angel, and Stephanie Rosales. Sixteen-year-old Anthony Rosales was ejected from the vehicle and survived, but with serious injuries. He is currently hospitalized.
Witness Yvette Acosta, who was at a nearby gas station, captured video footage of the burning vehicle. She described the harrowing scene, noting that despite the efforts of bystanders, no one was able to get close enough to help the victims inside the car. Acosta recounted the haunting screams she heard that night, expressing her deep sorrow and inability to sleep since witnessing the tragedy.
