Jerry Flanagan Death – Jerry Flanagan, a resident of Farmville, North Carolina, and Farmville Central High alumnus has passed away. He was announced dead through a social media post that read “Farmville lost a legend today. I met Mr. Jerry Flanagan my 6th grade year (2003?) when I joined the shooting team. I was always welcomed with a “hey sweet” and a big bear hug.
He told the best stories and I like to think I learned a thing or two from him too. To the Flanagan family, y’all are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”

According to sources closed to Jerry Flanagan’s family, he passed away following a massive heart attack. So many friends and families took to social media to mourn the passing of Jerry who made a huge impact in the community. “The community and small town of Farmville lost a huge part of it today! Mr. Jerry was a pillar of this community and helped so many adults and kids throughout his life! You will be dearly missed! Pray for the Flanagan family more than ever right now!”
Who was Jerry Flanagan?
Jerry Flanagan was a longtime resident of Farmville, North Carolina, and a graduate of Farmville Central High. He studied at NC State University, according to his social media profile. He was an avid hunter. He helped a lot young people on the shooting team through the years.
He was a great person, good scout master, great joke teller, and a true friend. He was described by those closed to him as a true life long friend, a high school classmate who enjoyed life.
Jerry would do anything to help make someone’s day brighter and his connection with Farmville remained solid. He remained active in the community that had raised him and sought to give back in any way he could. His name became linked with dependability and drive, characteristics that reflected his attitude in both his personal and professional lives.

Any time o had a question he was there.” Michelle Myers wrote in a social media post. “He made a huge impact on me and my family and we will miss him dearly. I know loss is never easy but this was an unexpected blow. Jerry Flanagan we love you and miss you already.”
Tyler TR Murphy also took to social media and say “Man, the little town of Farmville has lost a well respected and iconic man today. One of the best story tellers to ever walk Eastern NC. Thank you for all the time you spent with us as kids. We had some fun times in boy scouts and out at the farm. Going to miss reading all of your stories! RIP Mr Jerry Flanagan praying for the whole Flanagan family!”
