Jeronimo Garcia Guerra Death – The heartbroken family of an Arizona father who was crushed to death after becoming trapped under his family’s car in a Phoenix parking lot has spoken out against the bystanders who robbed him instead of helping.
Jeronimo Garcia Guerra was trying to fix his daughter’s stalled vehicle when the jack collapsed and left him pinned beneath the car. It is believed that he may have been stuck for hours before someone finally called 911.
However, by the time police arrived at the scene, thieves had stolen everything from Guerra’s pockets, looted the car he had been working on, and even stolen the vehicle he arrived in.
Guerra’s son, Jerry Garcia Jr., expressed his disappointment in humanity by stating that his father always believed that nobody would help you in a situation like this. The family explained that after their mother’s car broke down, Guerra drove their sister Monica Garcia’s car back to where it had stopped to try and fix it.
Monica said she believes her father arrived at around 9:45 am and police were only called around noon. She also said it is unclear how long her father had been trapped under the vehicle before being discovered.
The incident took place less than two miles from Monica’s home. Police were not called until hours after her father returned to fix her car. The robbers went through Guerra’s pockets and looted Monica’s car before leaving with hers as well.
Monica criticized witnesses who saw what happened but chose to steal from her father rather than stay with him until help came. She expressed disbelief at their actions and tearfully stated that she would never do something so heartless to another person.
Although Monica’s car was later found abandoned near the scene, she emphasized that this was never about robbery but rather about losing someone they loved because others didn’t stop to check if he needed help or comfort while waiting for emergency services.
At present, no arrests have been made as police continue investigating this tragic incident.
