Jamie Kramer Warrenville, IL, Shooting: Authorities say an Illinois man has been charged with murder after his wife was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds last week.
The Warrenville man was arrested after reportedly shooting his wife six times and murdering her.
Law enforcement agencies said, that on Thursday, Warrenville officers responded to the 30W0-100 block of Mulberry Court for a report of a death. Steven Kramer, 39, met police at the door and informed them that his wife was in a second-floor bedroom. Jamie Neumann, 47, was found dead in the bedroom after being shot six times, including once in the head.
According to authorities, a verbal quarrel between the two escalated into a physical altercation, during which Kramer allegedly shot her. Kramer went to the police department with policemen and was arrested shortly afterward.
He was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and denied pretrial release on Wednesday. Kramer’s next court appearance is scheduled for October 7. Officers said the victim passed away at the scene of the incident.
