James Raul Messick Obituary – On Monday, May 6, 2024, tragedy struck the hearts of the Rodriguez, Messick, and Gibson families as their beloved son, James Raul Messick, was taken from them in a devastating accident at the crosswalk on Faulkland and Centerville Road in Wilmington, DE.
James, just a month shy of his 11th birthday, was a bright soul, eagerly anticipating his transition from Marbrook Elementary to Conrad School of Science. He was a boy full of dreams, passions, and love for life.
A Heart of Gold and a Spirit of Joy
James was known for his infectious laughter, his caring nature, and his boundless love for his family, friends, and life itself. He found joy in playing sports, following his big brothers, and immersing himself in the worlds of Sonic the Hedgehog, superheroes, and anime.
James had a heart of gold, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and spreading love wherever he went. His family fondly remembers him as a pro gamer, a loving boyfriend, a talented violinist, and the fastest kid around.
Forever Loved, Forever Missed
Though James’ time with us was cut tragically short, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will continue to inspire all who were touched by his presence.
As the Rodriguez, Messick, and Gibson families navigate this unimaginable loss, they are grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from the community.
