Jaden Lewis Milton, GA man charged in deadly Alpharetta shooting

Jaden Lewis Milton, GA Crime – Police report that a motorcycle-riding gunman is under detention for a fatal Alpharetta shooting.

Alleged to have opened fire while riding a motorbike across downtown Alpharetta, Milton, a 21-year-old Milton man kills one person.

On Thursday afternoon Jaden Lewis was arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault. About 11 p.m. Wednesday, the incident occurred along Highway 9 close to Milton Avenue.

Several pictures of the gunman on a motorbike with a black jacket with white patches, black trousers, helmet, and gloves were published by the Alpharetta Police Department.

In one picture he is seen pointing a gun. Police said the pictures of the suspect originated from a dash camera belonging to a witness. That gunshot hit 46-year-old Justin Mourning. He died later, although he was first transferred to an area hospital.

Following the shooting, police reported speaking with numerous witnesses and discovered several gunshot casings. Investigators think an argument drove the shooting.

Captain Andrew Splawn of the Alpharetta Police Department said, “It appears that this shooting event evolved from an argument that happened between the victim and a motorbike operator. “The altercation and incident occurred in the roadway.”

Alpharetta
The incident on Wednesday night occurred in the usually peaceful downtown Alphareta district. “We’re just always disappointed when we hear about any kind of crime in the area and this is particularly bad,” remarked Mark Bundy. Lydia Tessfaye advised, “It makes you a little uncomfortable, but it definitely makes you keep your guard up when you’re out and about.”

Detectives claim there are not many shootings in downtown Alpharetta. “This occurrence is unusual,” Spawn said. “Based on the argument that occurred pre-shooter, we do believe that it’s isolated.” Bundy said this violence is disturbing since his kid works nearby.

“Anger was my first reaction that I don’t want that happening in my city,” he remarked. ” Nothing going on here is worth dying for.” Mourning was employed at Lumen Technologies. The firm emailed FOX 5 this comment: “We greatly lament the sad death of a Lumen family member. We are doing what we can to console his family and associates.”
