Indianapolis IN Murder-Suicide – An incident that the police are referring to as a “domestic disturbance” occurred on the south side of Indianapolis on Monday night, resulting in the deaths of two adults and injuries to two children.
IMPD and the Marion County Coroner’s Office have both confirmed that the individual who is accused of carrying out the shooting was a former IMPD Reserve Officer named Thomas Joseph Nolan, who was 43 years old and retired in May of 2024.
It has been determined that his death was most likely a suicide. The suspect is believed to have shot and killed a woman, who was later determined to be his wife, Ashley Nolan, who was 41 years old.
On Watersonway Circle, the incident took place shortly after 9 o’clock in the evening. This location is directly to the northeast of the crossroads where Bluff Road and West Edgewood Avenue meet. There were additional gunshots heard by the officers while they were on their way to the location.
The backyard of the house is where they discover the bodies of a male and a female who had passed away on the premises. IMPD Officer Tommy Thompson stated that it appears that this is a domestic incident that developed into a murder-suicide.
According to Thompson, the cops raced in and discovered two adolescents who had been victims of gunshot wounds. The youngsters are thought to be the couple’s offspring, according to the theory. After being transported to a hospital, one of the adolescents was found to be in stable condition, while the other is still in critical condition.
