I-5 Shooting and stabbing – One person died and three others were injured after a shooting and stabbing event on Interstate 5 in Federal Way.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the incident happened in the northbound lanes of I-5, south of the Washington State Department of Transportation weigh station, just after 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
The driver of a black BMW died from stab wounds, according to WSP. Two other passengers were taken to the hospital with stab wounds and another passenger in the BMW was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
Officials are investigating what led up to the incident. This is a developing story.

One man is in critical condition, and another is in custody after police say an early morning argument in Elko about a debt became violent.
Around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, officers with the Elko Police Department were called to a motel in the 2000 block of Idaho Street for reports of a man who had been stabbed. Officers arrived and found a man bleeding from the chest and saying he was attacked.
He was taken to the hospital and flown to Utah for more advanced medical care. The suspect was later identified as 44-year-old Michael Elizondo of Elko. He was located in an apartment complex in the 600 block of Cedar Street in Elko and was taken into custody without incident.
