Harvey Allen Death – Harvey Allen, a resident of Newton, Massachusetts, and the Chairman and Past President of M.S. Walker passed away peacefully at 86 years old on July 25th at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, surrounded by his family.
He was announced dead trough a social media publication that read “Harvey Allen, a true legacy, has passed on. We extend our deepest sympathies to the Allen family and the entire M.S. Walker family. May he rest in peace.”
Who was Harvey Allen?
Harvey Walker Allen was born on Valentine’s Day,1938, in Newton, Massachusetts, to the late Ruth and Leo Allen. Harvey’s seven children—Scott Allen, Robyn Stavis, Rachel Stevens, Brett Allen, Brooke Allen, Ross Allen, Max Allen, and Max Levine—as well as his wife Paula (Levine) Allen carry on his legacy. Growing up in Newton, Massachusetts, Harvey attended Colby College and Middlesex High School.
He nearly inked a deal to pitch for the Boston Red Sox after graduating from college, but he decided to stay on campus and eventually joined M.S. Walker. As M.S. Walker enters its ninth decade, the fifth generation of Harvey’s family carries on his legacy.
As Chairman and former President, Harvey had a significant impact on M.S. Walker’s life and business. Harvey was very proud of the company’s expansion as well as the fact that his care and culture were continued by the family. In addition to being a leader, Harvey made people laugh and smile.

His wit, humor, and passion made everyone’s day and created a special vibe in the company. He was undoubtedly the life of the party. He had been a member of Pine Brook Country Club for the longest time; it was his home away from home, and he had won the club championship there at least once in the previous forty years. He flew to Israel for the first time and was a proud part of the golf team that competed in the Maccabiah Games, often known as the Jewish Olympics, in 1965.
Harvey’s commitment to the several philanthropic organizations he loved was another cornerstone of his life. He was a giver, and you were a giver too if you knew him. He served as President of Israel Bonds for a long period and was a significant supporter of the CJP, FIDF, and Duvdevan. He had a lifelong commitment to the State of Israel. He had been a longstanding board member of the Hillside School in Marlborough, Massachusetts, which was closer to home.
Harvey Allen obituary and funeral service
Services will be held at Congregation Mishkan Tefila in the KI main sanctuary, 384 Harvard Street, Brookline, MA, on Sunday, July 28 at noon. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 120 Canton Street, Sharon, MA. Following the interment, his life will be celebrated at Pine Brook Country Club, 42 Newton St, Weston, MA, until 7:00 pm. On Monday, July 29th, and Tuesday, July 30th, a memorial observance will be held at the Ledgebrook Clubhouse, 207 Nahanton Street, Newton, MA, from 4 to 7 PM. Memorial Donations can be made to fund an ambulance for the civilians of the State of Israel by United Hazalah of Israel (Emergency Medical Service).
