Jaclyn Xue GoFundMe – The Plainview-Old Bethpage community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of 17-year-old Jaclyn Xue, a senior at Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School, who tragically died by suicide.
Xue was reported missing on February 23, 2025, after she was last seen boarding an eastbound train at the Long Island Rail Road station in Hicksville. She was later found deceased in Downtown Brooklyn.
According to reports, Xue had been struggling with depression and anxiety before her passing. Despite these challenges, she was known for her kindness and unwavering support for her friends.
Those who knew her describe her as a caring and thoughtful person who had a special way of uplifting those around her, whether through her sense of humor, heartfelt gifts, or simply being present.
Outside of academics, Xue was deeply committed to helping others and dreamed of becoming a physician assistant. She actively volunteered in equine therapy programs for individuals with special needs and dedicated time to working at a local hospital. Her love for animals was evident in the way she cared for her pet rabbit, Munchkin, and how she often helped look after friends’ pets.
