Jude Broussard Suicide – Jude Broussard, a student at Tecumseh High School, tragically passed away on September 10, 2024. The Tecumseh Public Schools district confirmed that 16-year-old Jude died by suicide, leaving the community deeply saddened.
In response to this devastating event, the district has arranged for grief counselors and mental health professionals to provide emotional support for students, staff, and faculty.
Superintendent Matt Hilton expressed the district’s profound sorrow, offering condolences to Jude’s family and the entire school community. He also requested that the privacy of the family and all those affected be respected during this sensitive time.
Several school activities have been canceled in light of this tragedy, including the boys’ varsity and JV soccer games, and a previously scheduled informational meeting about the sinking fund millage. These cancellations were made to give the community time to grieve and come together in support of one another.

The Broussard family is very important to so many hearts and has been on their thoughts and prayers. The Youth Volleyball Club at Frank and Shirley Dick Family, YMCA, have taken to their Facebook page to express their pain regarding the death of Jude.
Condolences have poured in on social media, including heartfelt messages from friends and community members. Ymca Hitters Fsdf shared on Facebook, “We send our condolences out to the family, friends, and village of Jude Broussard. Please know there is help out there if you don’t want to talk to loved ones.”
