Florian Willfort Katy, TX Death: 28-year-old Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity member and Texas Tech Polo Alumnus has died by suicide.

Florian Willfort, of Katy, Texas passed away from an apparent suicide following his battle with depression and anxiety. Willfort was born on August 29, 1995, and died on June 10, 2024.

Florian Willfort Death Announced
“Florian Willfort, age 28, of Katy, Texas passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024,” his obituary reads. It’s with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of a Texas Tech Polo Alumnus. Florian Willfort passed away early this past week. He was in the club from 2019-2020.

Florian enjoyed helping the club members at the barn clean up and getting to ride his favorite ponies Shadow and Tinkerbell. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers, Texas Tech Polo Alumni Association (TTPAA).

Lambda Chi Alpha at Texas Tech University: Hello all, I wanted to share the sad news of our loss of brother Florian Willfort. Florian lost his battle dealing with mental illness. The family asks for privacy until they return from Austria after they deliver his ashes.

Family Statement
Here is the message from the family: Hi, this message is being sent on behalf of Florian’s sister Caroline. “It breaks my heart to inform you that Flo has joined our mom in heaven. He decided he could no longer live with the mental illness that he battled with for years.

We are not able to talk about it right now and appreciate the time and space we need to process this loss.” Florian Willfort’s obituary and funeral arrangements were released, and his cremation has been concluded.

In the wake of this tragic incident, we extend our deepest condolences to the families affected by this heart-wrenching loss. As they grapple with the indescribable pain of bidding farewell to their loved ones, we share in their sorrow and stand in solidarity during this time of profound grief.
