Fire Police unit 1-9-5 responds to motorcycle accident southern state parkway, July 30

The West Babylon Volunteer Fire Department was called to the scene of our third car accident involving an overturn and entrapment in as many days this morning.

On July 30, just before seven o’clock, the collision on the Southern State Parkway heading west was attended to by ambulance teams from the District and our volunteers.

Under the direction of Chief of Department Steve Kamalic, all three of our ambulances, Heavy Rescue 1-9-15, Engine 1-9-6, and Fire Police unit 1-9-5 arrived at the incident.

According to authorities, the parkway that was closed near Exit 43 has already reopened. A car and a motorcycle can be seen driving in the incorrect direction on the footage shot at the site. 12 News Long Island now knows that the probe is being conducted by the attorney general’s office.
