Fire in Limassol Today – The larger fire broke out in the Agios Sylas area amidst arid grass and untamed plants. To put out the fire, firefighters used three planes, four engines, and two Department of Forests and Jordanian aircraft.
Vigorous winds hindered efforts to confine the fire, resulting in dense smoke enveloping portions of Limassol. In Choirokitia, a reed bed, dry grass, and wild vegetation all caught fire at the same time.
