Euston Church Funeral Shooting – Four individuals have been incarcerated for a drive-by shooting incident in Euston that resulted in injuries to four women and two children.

In January 2023, a sawn-off shotgun was discharged at a gathering of individuals during a memorial service, prompting the initiation of a thorough year-long police inquiry. The task entailed analyzing and assembling over 2,000 hours of closed-circuit television footage to identify the four individuals accountable.

On January 14, 2023, at about 1:30pm, we received multiple emergency calls (999) reporting a gunshot incident that occurred outside a church located on Phoenix Road.

Officers and paramedics promptly arrived at the scene and discovered that four adult females and two little girls had sustained injuries as a result of a gunshot fired from a vehicle into a group of individuals.

The individuals were transported to a medical facility for medical care. One of the girls sustained an injury where a metal pellet became lodged in a muscle near her heart, which will have long-lasting consequences. One of the women sustained severe injuries that have adversely affected her auditory and equilibrium functions.

The vehicle departed, leaving behind a scene of widespread destruction. Detectives promptly initiated urgent investigations to apprehend the individuals responsible and ensure justice for the victims. Today, Detective Inspector Darren Jones addressed the public outside Kingston Crown Court and stated:

“Today, we witnessed the sentencing of four young men for a crime that had the potential to be classified as murder.” The individuals’ irresponsible behavior, in discharging a shortened shotgun from a moving vehicle into a gathering of individuals at a memorial, was truly astonishing.” I can only envision the intense fear experienced by the victims, and the anguish they endured during their healing processes.

“The fact that nobody was killed was purely a result of luck.” “I trust that the sentencing today provides solace and resolution to the courageous victims who have demonstrated immense fortitude during the investigation and the legal proceedings.”
