Englewood Fatal Shooting – According to Chicago police, a passenger in a rideshare vehicle was fatally shot after gunfire erupted from another vehicle in the Englewood neighborhood on Wednesday morning.

The shooting occurred in the 600-block of West 69th Street around 1 a.m.

The victim, a man, was traveling in the rideshare vehicle when shots were fired from a dark-colored sedan, injuring him multiple times.

He was rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.

His identity has not been disclosed by authorities.

Fortunately, the driver of the vehicle was unharmed.

As of now, no suspects are in custody, and Area One detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
