Ellen Bagley, Pomeroy Woman Dies From Injuries Sustained in Early December Crash on Highway 12
Around 12:43 p.m. on December 1, Washington State Patrol responded to a head-on collision on Highway 12, seven miles east of Pomeroy.
A 2004 Buick Lesabre driven by 33-year-old Melanie Herman, of Pomeroy, and her passenger, 65-year-old Ellen Bagley, were traveling westbound on Highway 12 when their vehicle crossed the center line and struck, head-on, a 2021 Ford Explorer that was traveling eastbound.
The driver of the Ford Explorer, 49-year-old, Nicole Bruner of Pasco, was uninjured. Both occupants of the Buick Lesabre suffered injuries and were transported by ambulance. On Friday, December 15, the Washington State Patrol said that Bagley later succumbed to her injuries.
Washington State Patrol determined that driving too fast for the road conditions was the cause of the accident.
