Elaine Deprince Death, Author and Former teacher died on Sept. 11

Elaine Deprince Death – A former teacher, an author, a lyricist, and mother of 11, Elaine DePrince passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

She wrote Cry Bloody Murder, a book about hemophilia and HIV. She also co-authored Taking Flight. DePrince died after many years of battling a hereditary disease and heart failure. DePrince was 77 years old.

She is survived by her children Mia, Beelee, Jaye, Mariel, Amie and her two sons, Erik and Adam. The family thanks you for their privacy as they navigate this very difficult time.

Author, author, and former special education teacher Elaine DePrince was a graduate of Rutgers University. She also has a background in teaching. She had already raised five sons by the time she decided to adopt a child from a war-torn region of West Africa in 1999, so she took a leave of absence from law school.

As a result of the overwhelming demand, she ended up having six daughters from West Africa, according to her. The five of her girls, including Michaela, are resided in New York City with her husband and the rest of her family.
