Drew Flak Obituary – Serra Honda Automotive Service Advisor Drew Flak of Grand Rapids, Michigan has sadly passed away. He died on Friday 10th May 2024 after a tragic motorcycle accident leaving family, friends and colleagues desavated.
He was announced dead by his family through a Facebook post that said “Heart is beyond broken. Prayers needed for our family….Drew was in a motorcycle accident Friday and was called to heaven. He was such an amazing young man. He had so much going for him. I just can’t understand and can’t believe this is real.”

Flak embarked on his academic journey at the University of Northwestern Ohio, where he pursued and successfully earned an Associate’s degree in Automotive Engineering Technology/Technician.
Armed with theoretical knowledge and practical skills, he was ready to dive into the dynamic realm of automotive services. His professional expedition began at Byrider, where he assumed the role of an Automotive Technician in September 2019.
Over the course of two years and a month, Flak immersed himself in the intricacies of automotive diagnostics and repair, demonstrating not only his technical prowess but also his dedication to delivering top-notch service to customers.
Recognizing Flak’s exceptional talent and unwavering commitment, Byrider bestowed upon him the opportunity for advancement. In October 2021, he was promoted to the esteemed position of Master Technician.
This promotion not only affirmed Flak’s expertise but also provided him with new challenges and responsibilities, further fueling his professional growth. For a year and a half, from October 2021 to March 2023, Flak excelled in his role as a Master Technician, consistently surpassing expectations and setting new benchmarks for excellence.

In March 2023, Flak embarked on yet another chapter of his career journey as he transitioned into the role of a Service Manager at Byrider.
In this capacity, he not only showcased his technical acumen but also demonstrated strong leadership skills, effectively managing a team while ensuring streamlined operations and unparalleled customer satisfaction.
Flak’s tenure as a Service Manager lasted for 11 months, during which he made significant contributions to Byrider’s success and further honed his managerial capabilities.
However, driven by a relentless pursuit of personal and professional development, Flak decided to explore new horizons and seek fresh challenges. Thus, in January 2024, Flak embraced a new opportunity at Serra Automotive in Grandville, Michigan, assuming the role of an Automotive Service Advisor.
In this pivotal position, he utilizes his wealth of experience and expertise to provide customers with exceptional service experiences, ensuring their automotive needs are met with precision and care.
Flak’s journey from a diligent Automotive Technician to a seasoned Automotive Service Advisor is a testament to his resilience, adaptability, and unwavering dedication to excellence.
