Dontae McLaren died in Wandsworth Road Clapham triple stabbing, 2 suspects arrested

Dontae McLaren Death: Two men have been arrested after Dontae McLaren, 24, was stabbed to death in Clapham on Sunday (September 29).

At 4.05 a.m., police, ambulance teams, and an air ambulance were dispatched to Wandsworth Road after receiving reports of a big group fighting with knives.

Three men were stabbed, and Dontae McLaren, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene. On Tuesday (October 1), a 26-year-old male was detained on suspicion of murder and remains in detention.

On Sunday, September 29, another man, 24, was arrested for the same offense and later freed on bail. Specialist cops are assisting Dontae’s family. Police plan to conduct a post-mortem examination later today.

Two more victims, both in their 20s, were transported to the hospital for treatment. One [Victim 2] was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, while the third man [Victim 3] was still in the hospital with critical but non-life-threatening injuries.

Detective Inspector James Massey stated, “Our investigation is progressing well, but we continue to appeal to any witnesses or those with information who have not yet come forward.”
