DJ Randall Death:- DJ Randall, a renowned British Jungle and Drum and Bass DJ and record producer, has passed away. His death was announced today, Wednesday, July 31, 2024, through social media posts.

According to reports, DJ Randall, whose real name was Randall McNeil, died unexpectedly. Thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

Suburban Base Records released the following statement:
“It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of DJ Randall. This is a truly devastating loss. We came up in the scene together from its very inception. Randall, along with the De Underground crew, was an integral part of its evolution. His contributions cannot be underestimated.”

Who was Randall McNeil?
Randall McNeil, born on April 2, 1970, was a pioneering DJ who transitioned through genres from acid house to jungle, playing a crucial role in popularizing the jungle music sound. His DJing journey began in the late 1980s, inspired by Acid House music at the 1987 Notting Hill Carnival.

Randall quickly mastered mixing, leading to regular mix tapes and performances on pirate radio stations like Rave FM, Centreforce, and Rinse FM around 1989-90, becoming a prominent figure in the breakbeat hardcore scene. He co-founded the DeUnderground record label and a record shop in Forest Gate, East London, with DJs Cool Hand Flex and Mike De Underground.

Randall’s major breakthrough came at the “Living Dream” rave in Leyton, East London, where he played a remarkable 2.5-hour set after stepping in for DJ Colin Faver. In addition to his DJing acclaim, Randall made significant contributions as a producer, notably collaborating with Andy C from Ram Records in 1994 to create the jungle track “Sound Control.”
