Dillon Reidenauer & Bodhi Linton Death – An 18-year-old Louisiana State University (LSU) freshman pole vaulter, Dillon Reidenauer, was one of two people killed in a tragic crash on Nicholson Drive in Baton Rouge on Wednesday night.
Reidenauer, a promising track and field athlete from Abita Springs, was in a vehicle when it was struck by a motorcyclist, identified as Bodhi Linton. Both individuals succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Reidenauer was a recent graduate of Fontainebleau High School in Mandeville, where he was known for his dedication to pole vaulting. His talent and passion for the sport led him to LSU, where he had recently begun his collegiate career as part of the Tigers’ esteemed track and field program.
Friends, coaches, and teammates remember him as a hardworking athlete with a bright future ahead. The collision occurred along Nicholson Drive, a major roadway near the LSU campus. While the exact details of the crash remain under investigation, the tragic loss has left the LSU community in mourning.
The death of Bodhi Linton, the motorcyclist involved, has also deeply affected his own community. Authorities have not yet released information on possible contributing factors such as speed or road conditions.
