Death: Unrestrained toddler, motorcyclist died on August 18 crash in Nashville, TN

A toddler and motorcyclist were killed in a crash Sunday night in Nashville, Tennessee, according to authorities.

Delmas Wiseman III was driving a 2003 Buick sedan when he lost control of his car and skidded sideways.

The car crossed over into the other lanes, causing a motorcycle to crash into the car’s rear passenger door, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

The motorcyclist, a 30-year-old man, died at the scene. Police said a 3-year-old girl was severely injured in the crash and taken to the hospital where she died. She was not in a booster seat, according to police.

Two other children, ages 5 and 6, were also in the back seat and taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Police said there was only one booster seat in the car. Wiseman was injured but refused treatment.

Authorities said there was no evidence that Wiseman was impaired. Further information was not available.
