Death: Scott Reda Philadelphia, PA Lifelong Resident has died

Scott Reda, a distinguished resident of Philadelphia, PA has sadly passed away following several social media posts which confirmed his demise , One wrote “Not the news you wanna get first thing in the morning. Rest in Peace Uncle Scott Reda…

You were one of a kind and you kept the Reda name alive and strong. This man loved his Jack Daniels and Cigars. You’ll be very missed. Say hi to my parents when your up there. Love yap.s. my family tree is falling faster than the U.S. Economy.”

Another Wrote “I learned today that Brother Scott Reda passed away today. I will pass along more information when I get it.” ‘I have been informed that there will not be any viewing for Brother Scott Reda. A funeral mass is scheduled for Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Sts Philip and James Church in Phillipsburg.”

Robert “Bob” Angst, a veteran of the Cold War submarine, died quietly at home on July 17, 2023. He was born in Winona, Minnesota, on May 24, 1934, to Clarence Angst and Helen Rothering. He was his family’s lone surviving sibling.

After his death, Judith (Gibbs) Angst, his wife, and his children, Russell (Linda) Angst, Douglas (Michelle) Angst, and Kristyn (Robert) McCaffrey, as well as several nephews and nieces, left behind a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, including Gracelynn, Josh (Kimberly) Jones, Matt (Zarah) Jones, and step-great-grandson Oliver.

His parents, Clarence and Helen, as well as his siblings, Willard, Laverne, Irvin, Olive Hitner, John, and Richard, predeceased him. After graduating from Cotter High School and Gilmore Valley School in 1953, Robert enlisted in the Navy, serving in that capacity from 1953 to 1957. He was a subordinate. In 2021, he was granted the honor of participating in an Honor Flight.

After doing his time, he went to work for his father at Angst Motor Company. He spent several years working for Madison Silo, Rollingstone Lumber, and Schwab Construction, among other construction companies.
Bob and Judy spent sixty-three years together.

They spent fifty years enjoying their lovely 136-acre homestead that they had built. He enjoyed playing pool, snowmobiling, deer shooting, fishing, farming, gardening, spending the winter in the South, and creating wonderful memories with his close friends and family.
