Kenneth Joshua Moore and Gregory Alan Samosky Death – In the early hours of January 8, 2025, a tragic shooting occurred in Washington Township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, resulting in the deaths of two men.
The suspect, 56-year-old Scott Shaffer, allegedly invited the victims to his residence after they had spent time together at a local establishment.
Upon their arrival, Shaffer reportedly retrieved a rifle and fatally shot both men. He then instructed his 18-year-old daughter to hide the weapon; however, she bravely contacted 911, leading to Shaffer’s arrest at the scene.
The Armstrong County Coroner’s Office has identified the victims as 27-year-old Kenneth Joshua Moore and 32-year-old Gregory Alan Samosky. Moore was known in the community as the owner of a local tree-cutting service.
Shaffer has been charged with two counts of homicide and is currently in custody awaiting further legal proceedings. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to determine the motive behind the shootings.
