What happened to Jarod Neidlinger?
On Monday, Jarod ended his own life. On Wednesday, August 14, 2024, late in the evening, he was released from Fayette-Piedmont Hospital. For psychiatric care, the hospital arranged for a transit to its Piedmont Snellville East facility.

When the vehicle came at 11:39 p.m., Jarod fled as the driver turned to face him. Jarod was chained to the bed and told the hospital he posed a flight risk by the Peachtree City police when he was dropped off at Fayette Piedmont last Sunday.

After being admitted and placed in a fifth-floor room, the hospital assigned a 24-hour sitter. Everyone in the town was aware of his flight risk. Jarod’s mother alerted the hospital to the fact that her son posed a flight risk.

Someone at the Piedmont Snellville East facility called the family at 12:25 AM to report that they had gotten past the EMTs and fled into the woods. In an attempt to find him, the family worked with the Snellville police for many hours.

Both yellow hospital socks were found by the police. The trail was followed into a neighbourhood northeast of the hospital by a police tracking dog. There was a dead end in the trail. Since then, the Snellville area has been searched by volunteers, parents, and police. Not even one sighting has occurred. On August 21, he was discovered.
