Jacob Todd Woolery Death – A fatal motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle in the Providence Division is currently under investigation by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Major Crash Investigation Unit, as per a recent announcement.
The accident occurred on the afternoon of Thursday, August 15, when a 2014 Jeep Wrangler, attempting to make a left turn, was struck by a 2009 Kawasaki EX650 motorcycle in the 7700 block of Fairview Road.
The operator of the motorcycle, Mr. Jacob Todd Woolery, aged 22, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report. The juvenile driver of the Jeep, aged 16, sustained minor injuries and was promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Despite efforts to quickly respond and manage the devastating scene, law enforcement and emergency services were unable to save Mr. Woolery, as detailed in a statement by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Detectives with the Major Crash Investigation Unit have been rigorously working to piece together the incident, and members of the Crime Scene Search have been collecting physical evidence essential to the ongoing investigation.
