Jacob Murphy, a 30-year-old resident of Grand-Barachois, New Brunswick passed away tragically on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. He was announced dead through a social media publication that reads:
“Watching this fine young man play hockey and grow up in our community was a treasure, such a kind soul and true friend to any and all who ever shared the ice with him , fly high bud.”
Who was Jacob Murphy?
Jacob Murphy, who was born in 1994, was a cherished son of Gisèle and James Murphy. He was also a devoted husband to Ellie Murphy. Jacob Murphy was a dedicated spouse and a loving father above anything else in his life experiences.
Grayson and Emma Grace, his children, were the source of his greatest delight and pride. His kindheartedness, friendliness, and spirit of adventure left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone who knew him.
Jacob was well-known for his passion for the outdoors, and he found great pleasure in going canoeing and camping with his family. He frequently shared his enthusiasm for these activities with his vast group of friends.
Since 2015, Jacob has been a devoted member of Boilermaker Local 73, where he has established friendships that will last a lifetime and made significant contributions to his craft conscientiously. Jeremy and Nathan, Jacob’s siblings, had a deep affection for him and cherished him. Not only did his stepfather Paul cherish and admire him, but his stepmother Jessica did as well.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Saturday, July 27 from 2 pm to 4 pm only. A Sharing of Memories will be held at the end of visitation hours. No funeral service will be held. Donations can be made directly to support Jacob’s wife, Ellie and his children: Grayson and Emma Grace during this difficult time.
