Daniel Swinehart Plane Crash – It has been established that a father and his two boys were among the fatalities in the single-engine plane disaster that happened in Oklahoma City on Tuesday afternoon.
In a statement to the media on Friday, Quail Springs Baptist Church said that Daniel Swinehart was a loyal soldier who distinguished himself in his military service to his country. His two children, ten-year-old Hudson and thirteen-year-old Landin, were with him.
Swinehart, a 37-year-old man, served in the US Army and US Air Force, according to his online biography. The article also states that a 68-year-old Oklahoma City pilot named Michael Kaswan was discovered deceased.
The Federal Aviation Administration’s records indicate that he is the owner of the Beech F33A aircraft. The FAA reported that upon takeoff from west Oklahoma City’s Sundance Airport, the aircraft’s left wing struck a bale of hay.
It struck trees after that and caught fire as a result. Firefighters saw a column of smoke east of the runway after getting a report about the incident at 1:27 p.m. on Tuesday.
The amount of fire that was burning was considerable. The volunteer firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze. Sadly, none of the four passengers on board—including the public relations officer for the Oklahoma City Fire Department, Scott Douglas—were able to escape the disaster.
