Angela Davis Byhalia, MS Death – A third fatality has been confirmed in a tragic car crash that occurred in Byhalia, Mississippi, following a police chase over the weekend.

Angela Davis, who was critically injured in the incident, succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday after being hospitalized at Regional One Health in Memphis.

The accident unfolded on Saturday night when officers from the Byhalia Police Department were in pursuit of an SUV. The chase ended devastatingly at the intersection of St. Paul Road and Dockery Drive when the pursued vehicle crashed into a Ford F150. The impact was fatal for Jaqua Bluiett, the driver of the SUV, and Michael Crutcher, a passenger in the truck.

Adding to the tragedy, two other individuals from the crash were also taken to Regional One Health in Memphis, where they were listed in critical condition. By Wednesday morning, no further updates on the fourth victim’s condition had been released, leaving the community in suspense and grief.

Marshall County Sheriff Kenny Dickerson has confirmed the details surrounding the police chase but has not disclosed the reasons behind it, noting that these details are still part of an ongoing investigation. The pursuit and its consequences are being thoroughly examined to understand the sequence of events that led to such a catastrophic outcome.

Legal representation for Officer William Langham, who was involved in the chase, has confirmed that he has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the results of the investigation. This standard procedure allows for an unbiased review of the officer’s actions during the incident without immediate repercussions to his employment status.
