DeAndre Jones Pensacola FL Death – An investigation is underway after a man was found dead in a vehicle along I-10 in Santa Rosa County on Saturday, according to NorthEscambia.com.

The incident began when a road ranger noticed a Dodge Ram pickup truck parked on the shoulder of I-10 eastbound near the 20-mile marker around 11:10 a.m. The ranger approached the vehicle and observed a single occupant slumped over inside.

Attempts to gain the attention of the occupant were unsuccessful, prompting the road ranger to notify Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

A Florida State Trooper quickly responded to the scene. Unable to access the vehicle through conventional means, the trooper broke a window to reach the occupant. Unfortunately, the male occupant was pronounced dead by a Santa Rosa County paramedic shortly after the vehicle was accessed.

The Florida Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the incident, with assistance from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, and Santa Rosa County EMS. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased or any details regarding the cause of death.

Local residents and travelers along I-10 were temporarily affected as law enforcement and emergency personnel worked at the scene. The presence of multiple agencies highlights the seriousness with which the incident is being treated.

Further details are expected to be released as the investigation progresses. Community members have expressed concern and condolences for the deceased and his family.
