David Kimball Wing San Diego, California, has tragically died. David Kimball who was an American base jumper from the United States has died after jumping 3,000 feet from a ‘cursed’ Italian mountain where other people have died too.
David Kimball, 33, is believed to have fallen after his parachute malfunctioned. On Tuesday, he made a daring jump from the dangerous Piani dei Resinelli mountains above Abbadia Lariana, Lombardy.
Shortly after the jump, around 1:30 p.m., he was discovered dead in the wooded area beneath the launch point, according to local publication Il Giorno. Mountain rescue teams, police, and fire departments hurried to the isolated location.
They have been looking into the specific events that followed. It happens in the same area where Gallarate resident Alessandro Fiorito perished 300 feet below the surface due to a technical issue with his wing suit.
After being thrown plummeting to the ground, the 62-year-old tried to use his parachute, but it was too late. In the meantime, 41-year-old Italian father Ludovico Vanoli perished in a wingsuit mishap.
During a leap in the Dolomites, the accomplished base jumper Montichiari, Brescia, passed away. Raian Kamel, 36, died a few days earlier in Val Badia after plunging from Piz da Lech.
The fourth person to pass away this summer while abseiling from a cliff edge in the Italian Dolomites was a British base. Please keep his family and friends in your loving thoughts and prayers as they go through this painful moment of their lives. His funeral arrangements and obituary will be announced by his family at a later date.
