David Buck, a resident of West Concord, Minnesota passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 13, 2024, in Faribault, Minnesota. He was 34 years old at the time of his death.
He was announced dead in a social media post that read “On Friday, we lost our amazing friend, David Buck. We will forever cherish the memories we have shared with him. Please keep Michaela Neuzil, and all David’s family & friends in your thoughts and prayers! Until we meet again.”
Who was David Buck?
On December 30, 1989, David James Buck was born in Rochester, New York, to Jim and the late Lori (Reding) Buck. He was raised on their beloved farm, where his family’s affection encircled him and stayed all of his life.
David was a remarkable man whose unwavering work ethic, quiet strength, and selfless kindness touched many lives. He was more than just a 34-year-old fan of the Vikings, a union operator in the construction industry, a farmer who cared for cattle, and a fast sports car enthusiast.
He approached whatever he undertook with passion and tenacity. He was a highly giving person who would instantly drop everything to help someone. Whether it was quietly encouraging you to do more than you ever imagined you could, or pulling over a truck or caravan to assist a friend in need. His gentle words of support were always infused with love and concern. Even when individuals didn’t believe in themselves, he still had faith in them.
When David met Michaela Neuzil, the love of his life, at a Halloween party in 2021, his life was permanently altered. They had an enjoyable, loving relationship full of laughter, experiences, and future goals from that point on, and they were inseparable.
Together, they embraced life with the aspiration of creating a lovely life that was full of possibilities and love. For Michaela, David was more than simply a romantic partner; he was also her closest friend, confidant, and the cornerstone of their shared future.

Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of David’s life on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 10 am to 12 Noon at Michaelson Funeral Home, 1930 Austin Road, Owatonna. A prayer service will follow at Noon, with all invited to share memories and fellowship over food at the Dodge Center American Legion Post #384. 401 Hwy St W, Dodge Center, MN 55927 from 2 to 5 pm.
