Corpus Christi Shooting: Nikki Nunez had died, another victim Brenda Rivera in serious condition after drive-by shooting

Corpus Christi Shooting – Friday night in Corpus Christi turned into a tragedy when a drive-by shooting occurred on the 580 block of Skylark Drive.

According to the Corpus Christi Police, the incident took place around 9:30 pm when a gunman fired from a passing vehicle. The attack resulted in the death of 44-year-old Nikki Nunez and left 60-year-old Brenda Rivera in serious condition.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found both women with gunshot wounds and immediately transported them to the hospital in critical condition. Sadly, despite medical efforts, Nikki Nunez succumbed to her injuries, as confirmed by CCPD Senior Officer Jennifer Collier.

Investigators believe that a black passenger car, potentially a Mazda with black rims, drove by the residence and opened fire into the home, causing harm to both women. The suspect vehicle was described as a dark-colored passenger car with black rims and possibly being a Mazda model; it fled from the scene and is currently at large.
