The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office reports that following the deadly incident, which occurred just before 10 a.m., the White Horse Pike was closed in both directions. Nearby are stores called Columbo Liquors and Produce Junction.
According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, a lady driving into the construction zone on the 500 block of White Horse Pike struck a curb, a bush, and the four employees of New Jersey American Water. While workers installed a meter pit close to the intersection of Warwick Road, the northbound lane of the White Horse Pike was closed for maintenance.
Per the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, one of the workers was declared dead at the site. According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, two workers were transported to Jefferson Hospital in Stratford with minor injuries, while one worker was rushed to Cooper University Hospital and placed in serious condition.
