Cole Catalano Louisiana Death – Former St Thomas Aquinas Baseball Head Coach Cole Catalano of Louisiana has passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.

He died on Thursday 25th July 2024 surrounded by loved ones. Skipper Baseball Boosters announced him dead through a post that reads “The entire Skipper Baseball community was saddened to hear of the passing of former St Thomas Aquinas Head Coach Cole Catalano.”

Cole Catalano Career
Cole Catalano, a revered figure in high school baseball, last served in the high school coaching ranks in 2022, capping off a noteworthy three-year tenure as head coach at St. Thomas Aquinas (STA). Catalano’s impactful career is marked by his leadership, commitment, and a deep-rooted faith that resonated through his work and personal life.

Catalano’s coaching journey began with his role as head coach at Hammond High, where he made a significant mark before transitioning to St. Thomas Aquinas. At STA, he and his brother Chad, also a respected coach, brought a renewed energy and dedication to the program.

Their combined efforts were instrumental in shaping the team’s success. Catalano’s time at STA was punctuated by his contribution to the Falcons’ Class 2A state championship win in 2016, a milestone achievement that underscored his expertise and leadership on the field.

Before his stint at STA, Catalano also served as an assistant coach at STA and had valuable experiences at Northlake Christian. His coaching career was a testament to his versatility and commitment to the sport, where he had a lasting impact on every team he was a part of.

A proud graduate of Fontainebleau High School in 2005, Catalano continued his athletic journey at Southeastern Louisiana University (SLU), where he pitched for the Lions. His passion for the game and his dedication to excellence were evident throughout his career.

Despite his departure from coaching to work in private business with his father, Catalano’s influence remained profound. He embodied the values of a man of God, characterized by an unwavering love for life, kindness, and a positive attitude even in the face of adversity. His life was a beacon of hope, demonstrating what one can achieve with faith and resilience.
