Chrishawn Perkins Charleston Death, Man died after being shot by girlfriend during heated argument

Chrishawn Perkins Charleston Death – Charleston police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Thursday morning.

Officers responded to a call about a shooting on the 700 block of Grace Avenue around 2:45 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Chrishawn Perkins suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was transported to the hospital where he died. Preliminary investigation indicates that Perkins and his girlfriend were visiting an acquaintance at the residence.

An argument escalated into a physical altercation between Perkins and his girlfriend, during which he allegedly assaulted her. Perkins then obtained a firearm and threatened to kill his girlfriend.

After being convinced to put down the weapon, Perkins attacked his girlfriend again and subsequently engaged in a physical altercation with the acquaintance. It was at this point that the girlfriend retrieved the firearm and shot Perkins.

The girlfriend was transported to the hospital with injuries and is currently in stable condition. No charges have been filed at this time.
