Chet Macht Owatonna MN Obituary – Chet Anthony Macht died on June 9, 2024. Chet was a shining light in the lives of those who knew him, and his legacy will continue to inspire and guide them.

Chet was preceded in death by his mother, Robin Macht; maternal grandparents, Robert and Alfrieda Eiseman; paternal grandmother, Beverly Macht; and cousin Jason Macht.

Who was Chet Macht?
Chet Anthony Macht, a native of Owatonna, MN, was born on March 4, 1980, to Ken and Robin Macht. Chet burst into the world with a fiery spirit and an unwavering enthusiasm for life. He was a proud big brother, and he was humbled by his little sister’s fierce protection and loyalty.

This early lesson prepared him for the joys and challenges of fatherhood, which he cherished with his first two children, Alexandria (Lexi) and Ashton. His marriage to the love of his life, Lindsay Kaplan, brought two more precious gifts to his family: Mason and Tate. His children were the source of his greatest joy and pride.

Chet Macht was the owner of Court Sports in Owatonna, where he found his passion and purpose. He radiated joy when discussing his ideas and projects, and his infectious energy inspired those around him. Throughout his life, Chet found fulfillment in coaching, mentoring, and leading others.

He instilled confidence in every athlete who had the privilege of having him as a coach. He loved his friends and family dearly and shared countless memories of outdoor adventure, hunting and fishing with his dad, and camaraderie with them. Whether riding side-by-side, camping, or exploring new destinations, Chet lived life to the fullest.

He was survived by his wife, Lindsay; children Lexi, Ashton, Mason, and Tate; father Ken (Donna) Macht; sister Niki (Tim) Cockram; stepbrother Spencer (Dani) Thoren; mother-in-law Ronda (Al) Christenson; father-in-law Kent (Linda) Kaplan; siblings-in-law Nick (Heather) Christenson, Angela (Justin) Ingraham, Kristin (Chris) Holsworth, and Jenna Kaplan; and an abundance of family, friends, and athletes.

As we say goodbye to this remarkable individual, we are reminded of the importance of living life with purpose, passion, and humor. Chet’s story teaches us to cherish every moment with loved ones, to pursue our passions with reckless abandon, and to never stop growing and learning.

Visitations And Funeral Arrangements
Friends may greet the family from 4:00 pm-7:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Brick-Meger Funeral Home (1603 Austin Road, Owatonna). funeral service will be held on June 14, 2024, at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Church (2500 7th Ave. NE, Owatonna), with visitation starting at 9:30 am prior to the service at the church. Following the funeral service, all are invited to the Owatonna Eagles Club (141 E. Rose St, Owatonna) for lunch and a time of fellowship.
