Chuck Stokes Death Alabama:- Chuck Stokes, the former president and CEO of Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston, Texas has passed away.
He was announced dead yesterday, Wednesday, the 24th of July 2024 by Arlene Stokes Patterson, the owner of owner of Hospitality Plus at Christian Hospitality Consultant. Charles D ‘Chuck’ Stokes died last night from a sudden heart attack.

For my FB family that would not know, my youngest brother, Chuck Stokes passed this life last night with a sudden massive heart attack! I am beyond devastated and cannot make a complete sentence yet! About Chuck Stokes
Charles D. “Chuck” Stokes, FACHE, was an executive in residence at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a former president and CEO of Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston.
He was also a Past Chairman of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). Stokes is board certified in healthcare management and has been an ACHE Fellow and faculty member for over a decade.
Stokes has led many times. He was executive vice president and COO of Memorial Hermann Health System from 2008 to 2017 and president and CEO from 2017 to 2020. He was president of North Mississippi Medical Center and executives at Huntsville Hospital System and St. Vincent Health System before that.
He also worked at Schumpert Health System, St. Luke’s Episcopal/Texas Heart Institute/Texas Children’s Hospital, University of Mississippi Medical Center, and Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Community activist Stokes served on the Houston Holocaust Museum and Children’s Defense Fund boards.
He led two Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award-winning organizations. He was also an adjunct professor at Birmingham University. Stokes has a Master’s in hospital and health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor’s in nursing from Mississippi Medical Center.
