She was confirmed dead through a Facebook post that reads “My precious friend Cathy Carmody, rest easy and enjoy dancing healthy and free in the streets of heaven! Jesus has you so tight in His arms and know that we have your babies tight in ours! YOU define warrior and will forever be OUR HERO.” The cause of Cathy Carmody’s death has not been released.
Cathy Carmody Education
Cathy Carmody has had an extensive and diverse career in finance and consulting, spanning over three decades. She attended the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School from 1988 to 1992, where she developed a strong foundation in business and finance.
Following her graduation, Cathy embarked on a professional journey that began to take shape significantly in May 2009 when she joined GlaxoSmithKline. At GlaxoSmithKline, she served as a Finance Manager in Research & Development until March 2015.
In this role, Cathy was pivotal in managing the budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis for various business units, each with a significant annual spend. Her work ensured that financial processes were streamlined and aligned with the strategic goals of the company.
In March 2015, Cathy transitioned to CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, where she became an Engagement Director in the Custom Accounting Solutions Team (CAST). Over her eight-year tenure, which lasted until March 2023, she led numerous projects, providing tailored accounting and financial solutions to clients.
Her role involved not only overseeing the financial aspects of client engagements but also building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring their unique needs were met with high-quality service.

Simultaneously, Cathy ventured into independent consulting with Rodan + Fields in July 2014. As an Independent Consultant, she leveraged her business acumen and finance expertise to help clients achieve their personal and professional goals through the company’s product and business offerings.
In addition to her roles in finance and consulting, Cathy took on a compassionate and impactful role as a Cancer Coach at Together We Heal, LLC starting in March 2019. In this capacity, she provides guidance and support to individuals navigating the challenges of cancer, drawing on her personal experiences and professional skills to help others heal and find strength.
Cathy’s career trajectory continued to ascend when she joined CleanChoice Energy as the Vice President of Accounting in August 2022. In this executive position, she oversees the company’s accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with CleanChoice Energy’s mission to provide clean energy solutions.
