Canada’s Wonderland Accident: Teen critically hurt after falling 30 feets from the Swing of the Century

Canada’s Wonderland Accident: A teenager has been hospitalized in critical condition after falling off a swing attraction at Canada’s Wonderland on Thursday afternoon.

A representative for the amusement park in Vaughan confirmed that ride operators on the Swing of the Century reported a visitor injury soon after 2:30 p.m. “Park medical staff and EMS responded, and the guest was taken to the hospital,” a representative told the news channel.

“An incident investigation is underway. The safety of our guests and associates is our number one priority. York Region paramedics said that one person was rushed to a trauma center after falling 30 to 40 feet from a ride.

They did not disclose the degree of the individual’s injuries or present status. The circumstances that caused the fall remain unknown.

According to Canada’s Wonderlands’ website, the coaster, previously known as Swing of Siam, was one of the park’s 26 original rides when it opened in 1981.
