Caeden Laffan Accident, Oakland CA Death – Caeden Laffan, a firefighter-paramedic with the Oakland Fire Department has died in a drowning accident at a San Diego beach at age 25.
Caeden was a third-generation Oakland firefighter. Caeden’s father the late Oakland Assistant Fire Chief Sean Laffan, died in 2020 of a heart attack.
How Did Caeden Laffan Die?
Caeden Laffan died at Pacific Beach near Crystal Pier. The San Diego police say they responded to a report of a lost swimmer at Pacific Beach near Crystal Pier just before 2 a.m. Thursday.
Caeden was found dead by San Diego lifeguards after a two-hour search. The search began around 2:15 a.m. after a swimmer near Grand Avenue was reported missing.
Who Was Caeden Laffan?
Caeden Laffan was a young enthusiastic member of the Oakland Fire Department. Caeden was based at Fire Station 3 on 14th St. Caeden was on a visit with family and friends for the California Firefighter Summer Games.
Caeden was 25 years old. Caeden was a third-generation firefighter and his brother was a recruit for the Oakland Fire Department.
