Brunson Lee Elementary School Shooting: Avoid Brunson Lee Elementary School due to an active shooting investigation – Police
Phoenix Police are advising parents to steer clear of Brunson Lee Elementary School as they conduct an active shooting investigation.
Initial reports of gunfire were received by the Arizona’s Family newsroom at approximately 5:45 a.m. from an apartment complex near 48th Street and McDowell Road.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a man who had been shot.
He was subsequently transported to the hospital with injuries that were deemed non-life-threatening.
According to police, the suspected shooter was observed fleeing into Brunson Lee Elementary School.
Law enforcement officers are presently combing through the school premises and its vicinity.
Arizona’s Family news crews observed SWAT teams arriving on the scene just minutes later.
Currently, parents of students enrolled at the school are urged to refrain from entering the vicinity due to the ongoing search operation.
School personnel will be reaching out to parents to provide updates as the situation progresses.
