Brad Dummer Obituary – Owner of Dummer Seed Services Brad Dummer of Pecatonica, Illinois has sadly passed away. He died on Thursday 4th April 2024 at the age of 45.
The circumstances surrounding the actual cause of Brad Dummer’s death has not been made known at the time this report was made. Brad came into this world on December 13, 1978, in Rockford, IL, as the beloved son of Craig and Cathy (Bean) Dummer.

After completing his education at Pecatonica High School in 1997, Brad pursued his passion for agriculture, obtaining an Associate Degree from Highland Community College. On September 29, 2012, Brad tied the knot with Kara Phillips in Rockford, IL, marking the beginning of a beautiful journey together.
With a strong foundation in family farming, Brad contributed significantly to various farming operations, even serving as a representative for Pioneer Hybrid International, specializing in seed sales and crop insurance.
In 2014, Brad embarked on an entrepreneurial endeavor, founding Dummer Seed Services (DSS), a venture that also offered Veris Technologies agricultural services.
Through DSS, Brad found immense joy in serving the agricultural community, fostering meaningful relationships with his clientele. Beyond his professional pursuits, Brad dedicated himself to community involvement, notably serving on the Winnebago County Fair Board of Directors.
His love for local truck pulling events led him to become an active participant, traveling with the Southwest Wisconsin Pullers. Described by many as intelligent, loving, and caring, Brad’s altruistic nature extended to all those around him.
However, his greatest source of happiness stemmed from spending cherished moments with his young family, whom he adored dearly. Brad’s legacy is not only marked by his professional achievements but also by the profound impact he had on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.

Survivors include his wife Kara and their children Preston and Myrah; parents Craig and Cathy; brother Brian (Amber); and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 13 at McCorkle Funeral Home – Pecatonica Chapel, 203 W 5th Street, Pecatonica, IL. A visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday, April 12 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
