Bennette Roberts Death – On Sunday, April 14, 2024, at around 3:45 p.m., the Saunders County 9-1-1 Dispatch Center received a report of an accident at the junction of Highway 77 and Highway 92, located to the west of Mead, NE.
Based on the initial accident investigation, it appears that a 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by Bennette Roberts (50 years old) from Omaha, NE, was traveling westbound on Hwy 92.
At the same time, a 2013 Ford Focus, driven by Tami Bowen (57 years old) from Seward, NE, was heading eastbound on Hwy 92. The Ford Focus made a left turn towards Hwy 77, crossing the path of the motorcycle, resulting in a collision.
Roberts was declared dead at the location, while Bowen was taken by ambulance to Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. The study is currently in progress. The driver of the focal vehicle was utilizing restraints, while the driver of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet.
Mead Fire and Rescue, Yutan Fire and Rescue, Life Net, and Wahoo Police Department assisted at the location. The individuals closest to the deceased have been informed. Sheriff Chris Lichtenberg is a member of the Saunders County Sheriff’s Office.
