Denzel Mcknight Asheville, NC Death – Asheville Police Department Detectives are investigating an early Friday morning shooting that left one man dead.
APD officers responded to a report of a gunshot wound at the Hillcrest apartment complex on Atkinson Street around 2:24 a.m. on July 26. There, they found Denzel Mcknight (07/07/1993) suffering from a gunshot wound.
Mcknight was transported to Mission Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries; next of kin has been notified. Criminal Investigations Division Detectives responded to the scene and are currently investigating the shootings.
There are no arrests in this case. This is the 7th homicide this year in the City of Asheville.
