Andrew Goodburn Obituary – Rogers High School student Andrew Goodburn of Jamestown, Rhode Island has sadly passed away. He died on Thursday 9th May 2024 by suicide after jumping off Newport bridge leaving those who knew him devastated.

He was born June 28, 2005, to Jennelle and David. Andrew, with his infectious smile and boundless enthusiasm for life, was more than just a student; he was a beacon of joy and warmth in a world sometimes overshadowed by the mundane.

Who was Andrew Goodburn?
From the moment he stepped foot in the school, Andrew touched the lives of everyone he met. His wide smile was not just a facial expression; it was a reflection of his inner zeal for life and uninhibited joy.

Whether it was sharing a joke in the cafeteria or lending a listening ear to a friend in need, Andrew radiated kindness and positivity wherever he went. He had a myriad of interests that reflected his adventurous spirit.

He loved to indulge in culinary delights, relishing every bite with gusto. Sailing was another passion that allowed him to feel the freedom of the open sea and embrace the tranquility of nature.

But Andrew’s interests were not confined to the great outdoors. He had a fascination with European cars, often spending hours tinkering with engines and admiring sleek designs.

His love for Star Wars knew no bounds, and he could engage in animated discussions about the lore and characters for hours on end. Beavertail, board games, and painting model figurines were other hobbies that brought him immense joy and fulfillment.

Despite his eclectic interests, Andrew remained grounded in his faith and values. As a devout Catholic, he found solace and strength in his spiritual beliefs, guiding him through life’s ups and downs.

His loyalty to his friends knew no bounds, always ready to offer support and companionship whenever needed. And as a beloved family member, he cherished every moment spent with those closest to him, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.

He leaves behind his parents, Jennelle and David, and his brothers, Ryan and Matthew. He also leaves his grandparents (Jarret), aunts, uncles and cousins (Grondin, Hughes, Dube, Floody-Taylor, Jarret, Bunker, Whittenhall, Richardson), a grieving community and so many people he called friend.
