American Dream Mall Incident: NJSP evacuates shoppers from the American Dream in East Rutherford
Multiple law enforcement agencies in East Rutherford, New Jersey are responding to the scene of an active incident at the American Dream Mall on Tuesday. Shoppers at the mall which is located at 1 American Dream Wy, East Rutherford, NJ have been asked to evacuate the building.
According to New Jersey State Police, the incident is not an active shooter situation. Authorities were called to the location for a bomb threat report. Investigators are currently sweeping through the building. “No shooting.”
“Message from the Public Safety Alert reads: For your safety, the NJSP has reported an emergency situation at the American Dream. All guests, tenants, and employees should walk to the nearest exit and evacuate the building. DO NOT use the elevators. Walk to the nearest stairway and follow the exit.”
