Amanda Quinlan Amherst NH Obituary – Amanda J. Quinlan, 47, of Amherst, NH, died at home on June 7, 2024, after a long fight with cancer.
She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 21, 1976, in Norwalk, Ohio, as the daughter of John R. and Susan E. (Eggleston) Tyler.
Who was Amanda Quinlan?
Amanda was raised and educated in Ohio, graduating from St. Paul High School in 1994. Amanda went to English Nanny School after she graduated from high school. Amanda, a professional nanny, adored and committed her time to caring for ‘her’ children.
She maintained friendships with several of these children as they grew into adults. She traveled east and landed in Watertown, Massachusetts, where she met Robert Quinlan. The two married and then moved to Amherst, where they have lived for eleven years.
Amanda was an ardent traveler who had visited Paris, Rome, Monaco, and Greece. She also enjoyed attending Broadway productions such as Miss Saigon, Little Shop of Horrors, and Les Misérables in New York. She was a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Browns.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Robert Quinlan of Amherst, New Hampshire, their two children, Elsie and George Quinlan of Amherst, New Hampshire, her parents, John and Susan of Norwalk, Ohio, and two sisters, Brooke (James) Gfell of Norwalk, Ohio, and Erin Tyler (Hoyt Cruse) of Alexandria, Virginia.
Funeral Plans
SERVICES: As she wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Christian funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 62 Manchester Street, Nashua, New Hampshire. The burial will take place at Edgewood Cemetery in Nashua, New Hampshire. Everyone is invited to meet straight at church on the morning of mass.
