Ajla Vukovic Utica NY Death:- On August 15, four persons died in a fatal vehicle collision near the Lucas/Fulton County line.
One of the victims has been named as Ajla Vukovic. According to accounts, Ajla Vukovic, a longtime resident of Utica, New York, passed away from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
Several collisions occurred on I-80 eastbound early in the morning. The first incident occurred at 5:34 a.m. around mile marker 49, involving a commercial vehicle transporting sulfuric acid and a passenger vehicle, resulting in two fatalities and numerous injuries.
The second incident occurred at 5:59 a.m. around mile marker 48, involving four commercial vehicles and one passenger vehicle, resulting in one fatality and three injuries.
The third incident occurred at 6:24 a.m. on the westbound side near mile marker 50.8. It involved three commercial vehicles and two passenger vehicles, resulting in one fatality and numerous injuries.
The three crashes involved a total of 13 automobiles. Over 100 firefighters from ten departments responded, and more than ten people were taken to three nearby hospitals, some of whom were evaluated for exposure to hazardous materials. The injured individuals’ current conditions are unknown.
Ajla Vukovic had a wonderful personality, a gorgeous smile, and a beautiful soul. She was a cherished daughter, sister, and friend whose cheerful personality enchanted everyone she met. Ajla was a member of several community clubs and served as a mentor to young people through her lessons. She was a beloved folklorist at KUD Bosanska Mladost.
